Cobalto, a CRM and personalized marketing consulting firm, is celebrating 20 years of excellence in the industry. Founded in 2004 by María Cristina Oruña, the company has consistently been at the forefront of customer engagement strategies, leveraging technology to drive growth and success.

2000 – 2012: A Legacy of Innovation and Success

Cobalto's journey began with a pivotal partnership with Toyota in Puerto Rico, where the firm played a crucial role in designing and implementing strategies to maximize customer retention and cross-selling opportunities. This early success laid the foundation for further accomplishments, including the development of an inbound phone sales channel for T-Mobile including lead generation efforts that used segmented, optimized, pre-approved direct mail offers as the only channel and the creation of custom predictive models for Chubb Insurance, significantly reducing their sales acquisition costs.

 2012 - Present: Embracing the Digital Era

As technology caught up to support what Cobalto had been dreaming was the future of engagement, Cobalto evolved. As the digital era unfolded, Cobalto leveraged emerging technologies and social platforms to offer cutting-edge solutions. The firm's digital transformation has been instrumental in assisting notable clients like Triple-S Vida, Banco Popular and Plaza Las Américas in enhancing their digital customer service channels and omnichannel communication strategies, respectively. Cobalto's partnership with Chubb Insurance has also expanded globally, showcasing the firm's ability to deliver highly personalized and automated marketing solutions.  

Commitment to Community and Growth

Throughout its history, Cobalto has remained dedicated to giving back to the community, supporting various causes and initiatives through pro-bono work. Ones that Cobalto hold very close to their hearts are races: ten years ago, Cobalto supported the launch of the Lola Challenge Weekend, and for more than 12 years Cobalto has been supporting Las 16 Millas de Sabrina with their design and marketing needs.

In 2016, Cobalto's participation in the Guayacán’s Venture Accelerator program marked a pivotal moment in its growth strategy. This experience, coupled with a record-breaking revenue year in 2023, underscores Cobalto's relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation. Long gone are the times of the one-person consulting firm, today we have a team of certified Salesforce consultants and developers in Puerto Rico, the US and LATAM. As the firm looks beyond Puerto Rico, it remains focused on Salesforce implementations and related consulting services, driving forward its vision for the future of customer engagement. 

Looking Ahead: Continuous Evolution

As Cobalto commemorates its 20-year anniversary, it looks ahead with plans to move into new, state-of-the-art facilities in San Juan, PR, symbolizing its continuous evolution and unwavering commitment to innovation. The firm remains steadfastly focused on Salesforce implementations and consulting services, aiming to redefine the future of customer engagement.
